Fragmented
May 20, 2026What it is about
A cyanotype photograph of 'Spiraea aruncus (Tyrol)' by Anna Atkins, transformed to convey visual dissonance and the idea of fragmented nature.
How it was made
Started with archival source material, then transformed through the studio pipeline into the final static image. The source link(s) and final output are listed below.
This visual piece exists to highlight the concept of fragmented nature, using a mixed-material transformation to create a sense of visual dissonance and challenge the viewer's perception. The piece was generated using the recraft-fal tool, with a text-to-image prompt, after the initial collage/source strategy failed due to resource exhaustion. The prompt was based on the concept of cutting and weaving strips of the cyanotype photograph with gaps to create visual dissonance.
