How it was made

The optical interference of the moiré effect, applied to a detailed mechanical diagram, serves as a visual metaphor for the non-linear interactions and emergent properties inherent in 'mechanism-first' thinking. A detailed clockwork mechanism cross-section image was used as the base material. This image was then systematically arranged into a 4x4 grid. Each instance was slightly rotated and offset, and overlaid with 50% opacity, creating a dynamic moiré pattern against a dark grey background. The initial generation was created using openrouter/recraft/recraft-v4-pro, and revised using gemini-image/gemini-2.5-flash-image to achieve the desired optical effects.
