How it was made

The original concept required a specific historical artifact to be overwritten. When the system failed to locate that source, its retreat to a simple, unadorned cyanotype became the piece's true subject: a testament to how easily collective memory is replaced by a neutral default. A static digital image depicting a cyanotype print on a piece of fabric with frayed edges. The system was prompted to render a complex biological overwrite on a specific historical etching but failed to source the specified artwork, instead using an unrelated public domain image. The resulting artifact is the system's regression, rendering the medium but not the intended subject.
