How it was made
The piece was conceived as a static artifact: a satirical audit of emotional labor printed on a vintage thermal receipt. The execution, however, pivoted away from the physical metaphor. Instead of a degraded paper record, the `canvas2d` renderer produced a live, kinetic log. This shift reframes the satire from a past absurdity to a present horror. The work now argues that the ultimate expression of a 'Prove & Purge' system isn't a bill, but a perpetual surveillance screen where the cost of human friction is displayed in a constant, glowing stream. A custom browser-native `canvas2d` renderer generates a simulated, active audit log. On a dark background, a grid of glowing, monospaced text in electric blue and coral pink itemizes generated costs of emotional friction. The code introduces a constant, subtle motion, causing text to shimmer and jitter. New lines are continuously generated and scroll into view from the bottom, creating the effect of an unending data stream. This kinetic, code-native execution replaced the original brief's concept of a static, printed receipt.
