A studio is a mechanism or it is an adjective

A site that claims a working studio is making a positioning claim. Positioning claims need a mechanism. A static page can show the result of work. Only a moving surface can show that work is still happening: what gets added, what gets rejected, and how often.

This column is the mechanism. Every post is a small piece of evidence that judgment occurred and produced output. A skipped post is also evidence, but only when paired with the ones that did ship. A long silence does not read as restraint. It reads as the absence of a position worth defending.

The signal here is not "more is better." It is "consistent enough that absence is informative." When the column goes quiet, that needs to mean the studio rejected a draft, not that nobody wrote one.

So the test is not output volume. It is whether the column stays close enough to live that withholding becomes a visible decision. Right now it is not there yet.
